AFTER YOU LAY DOWN THAT HIT, MAKE SURE THEY KNOW WHO YOU ARE

NAME WITHHELD POLICY

For CGRU matrix matches, Playoffs, and Championships, all 15s and 7s players shall have their privacy setting set to Public in Rugby Xplorer (RX) for registrations and/or updates.

Teams will be unable to play in the matrix if their Team's roster shows a player's name as Name Withheld unless that player has a waiver. At the NCS Playoffs or Championships, the Team may be ruled ineligible.  At the Geographic/Territorial level for NCS Qualifying matches, those unions may enact their own penalties, which may include fines, loss of individual and/or Team eligibility, loss of competition points, and/or administrative forfeits.

Question: What does Name Withheld mean?

Answer: If the privacy status has been set to ‘private’, this makes the player’s profile ‘private.’ That player’s name will appear as 'Name Withheld' on public team sheets/rosters and live results in the Rugby Xplorer App and on Rugby Xplorer websites.

Waiver

If the player has a reason for having Name Withheld, they may send a confidential narrative to CGRU Eligibility (eligibility@cgru.rugby), describing why Name Withheld status should be granted. This submission must include any relevant documentation. The waiver must be completed by the player and not a coach or other third party. A waiver for Name Withheld status is only effective for one registration cycle (August to August).  For any club reaching the super-regionals or beyond, a player must submit to Senior Club Eligibility (seniorclubeligibility@usa.rugby)

Note: Name Withheld status does not guarantee a player’s privacy given that matches are open to the public.

Players: Changing Privacy Settings

Individuals control their privacy settings through their 'My Profile' page in RX. To change this setting, the player must go into their Rugby Xplorer profile and update their privacy setting:

  1. Sign in to Rugby Xplorer (https://myaccount.rugbyxplorer.com.au).

  2. Go to My Profile.

  3. Under “My privacy setting...”, change status to ‘Public.’

  4. Click update.

  5. Let your Team Administrator know so that they can re-submit the team list (squad list). At this point your name will be displayed publicly.

Clubs and Union Administrators: Monitoring Player Privacy Settings

Clubs and Geographic/Territorial Unions have access to a report that shows each of their members’ privacy setting:

  1. Sign in to Rugby Xplorer (https://admin.rugbyxplorer.com.au/).

  2. Go to Administration-Reports-Registration Reports-Contact Report.

  3. Email Report.

  4. Examine the column "Profile (Public or Private).”
